Maggie Sottero - Fiorella

This is my recently found "diamond in the rough." I say this because when I first saw this gown hanging in the bag I thought "wow! That's a lot of fabric!" Then after having to carry it across the store to put it away for a co-worker, I had pretty much made up my mind that this gown was just too heavy!

I had officially fallen victim of judging a dress by the hanger. Tough to believe considering I am a bridal gown consultant, I am usually the one telling brides NOT to do it.

Recently, I had a bride come in looking for this specific gown. Much to my reservation with the weight of this gown, I brought it out and put it on my bride. Well, she looked amazing in it and I found myself loving the gown I originally thought was just way too much fabric.

After giving this gown a second chance, I have found that this gown is truly gorgeous. In all fairness, I do warn all of my brides that this gown is heavier than the other gowns they have tried on (mainly because it is one of the heaviest dresses in the store) and most brides are pleasantly surprised with how nicely it hugs their curves.

The gown looks best on a bride with some curves.... yes.. I said curves. The rouching really defines the waist and flatters the hourglass figure. The color we stock  (and the color displayed on the website) is called pearl. I think it flatters this gown the best. It's a very unique color and flatters every skin tone.
